The George Pendergrass Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization benefiting Leukemia and other blood related cancer research. The foundation was founded in our fathers name and established in 2004. Currently we are in 7th year operating the foundation. Our mission is to raise money for research and support of families dealing with blood related cancers. Our non-profit supports the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) eastern chapter by hosting bi-yearly events know as the George Pendergrass Classic. The George Pendergrass Classic is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament featuring competitors from North Carolina and surrounding states. The George Pendergrass Foundation also receives support from the US Grappling organization which assists in running these non-profit events.
Through the continued support of our family, friends, students, and the martial arts community it is our goal to make a significant impact in the research and treatment of Leukemia and other blood related cancers.
